The Serial Multiplexer (Extender) is the most cost effective, hardware-based solution providing remote access and control of all RS-232 protocol devices with the isolated voltage up to 5,000V (depends on models). The Serial Multiplexer (Extender) extends control to over 900m/ 3,000ft. This provides you with a tremendous amount of flexibility in your topology. You can set RS-232 devices in any location you want and control them remotely. The Serial Multiplexer (Extender) also provides full duplex transmission and Real-Time pure hardware solution, with no need for any set up or configuration.
For models featured Multi-function, the Serial Multiplexer (Extender) allows multiplexes traffic to transmit from several asynchronous or synchronous RS-232 data terminals into a single composite stream. Also, users may select channels to limit possible attainable data rates. In addition, when connecting to 1-to-3 Expansion Boxes, it expands up to 24 serial ports controlling.
